Only in 2011 I never even got round to blogging any resolutions! I had a vague idea in mind that I would lose 2 stone, which didn't look to be going too well by May when I'd gained another half stone from January. Managed to sort that one by joining Weight Watchers (thanks for the encouragement Sally!) and by the end of the year had lost 3 stone (so 2.5 stone over the whole year I guess). Hurrah, non-resolution achieved!

It was a busy year this year - early in the year my job situation got a whole lot more precarious as my project was canned. In the end though, I've been employed for the whole year, bar a month in April, so not too bad. All the uncertainty isn't much fun though. My current contract ends in March, so we shall see what happens after that.

In February, James was 4 and we held a chaotic party at our house. Not something we shall be repeating this year, we've booked soft play instead! March was relatively quiet, though we started a book club with local friends, but in April I got to go away to Paris to meet some fellow PAD-ers, which was ace. Then we toured the North of England and Wales over the Easter holidays.

May saw me starting WW, losing my phone for the first time and Jess's 30th birthday party. In June I got to go for a night away with Sally and Suzanna thanks to Sally's competition win and we had loads of fun, despite ending up in the wrong restaurant...

In July we headed to France for our annual holiday with Nikki, Tim, Ben and Izzy and had a superb time. In August Claudia was 3 and we had a party for her at home for the first time, having been in France the previous two years.

September saw all change for James and Claudia as they left their old nursery and started at their new school, James in reception and Claud in the afternoon nursery. It's gone brilliantly and they both love it.

At the end of September I headed up to Edinburgh for another PAD meet, and had a fantastic time. At least until I was 5 minutes from home anyway, I was mugged on the way home and lost my second phone of the year, though thankfully not my camera and all the pics on it. October also saw the Harvest Festival at school, and the Sponsored bounce and a bake sale, phew! I also got a lovely spanking new phone, hurrah!

In November James was the class special person at school, we went to Brian and Kim's wedding, and I hit 3 stone lost at WW.

December was all about the run up to Christmas - we went to see the Gruffalo early in the month, Camera Club went from strength to strength, doubling the number of attendees from November, and James and Claud had their Christmas fair and nativity play (James was a snowman and Claud a star). We had all the family here over Christmas and ended the year with a fab mini-party with Andy, Trine, Nikki and Tim and all the kids. We also had some sadness - Mike's Nanna sadly passed away at the age of 99 just before Christmas.

I wonder what 2012 will bring? We have lots planned already - holidays, the Olympics, paralympics, a PAD meet in Belfast and of course Claudia starts school in September. It should be an exciting year.
